Shady is a Research Scholar in the School of Food Science and Environment at TU Dublin (Ireland) and his research is funded by DIT Fiosraigh Scholarship. He holds an MSc in Applied Microbiology from Suez Canal University where he also completed a BSc in Microbiology. His areas of interest are industrial biotechnology and green chemistry, and his current area of research is bioproducts engineering with focus on biorefining of lignocellulose. Outside of academics, Shady has eight years of industrial experience in microbiology, food safety, occupational safety and health. He worked for companies in various industries including agriculture, food processing, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and management consulting.
