Dr. Aruna Ramani Grover is an architect – planner. A three time alumnus of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, India, she is a Professor of Architecture in her alma-mater. After a brief stint with a city firm, she practiced with husband Mr. Ashok Grover from 1990 to 2005, wherein she designed and executed residences, factories and institutional buildings. She was involved in participatory architecture in the Lok Jumbish, District Primary Education Program and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. From 2005 onwards she has been involved in institutional consultancy at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi along with her colleagues. Amongst her contributions are a 100 bed hospital complex and prototype buildings for the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
She is a Resource person for Government of India for Primary Schools, Expert Member, Architecture and Planning at the University Grants Commission, India, Expert Member, Architecture, Green Buildings and Sustainable Design, Union Public Services, New Delhi, India and Expert Member Water and Sustainable Cities, Delhi Urban Art Commission and Member Heritage Conservation Committee of Delhi. She has published 4 books, over 20 papers and articles in international and national journals and presented over a dozen papers in national and international conferences.
