Al Serino

alserino22@gmail.com
Al Serino has a passion for landscapes, and for the fauvist movement. The colors, shapes, and textures of each landscape are what he loves to translate into his personal vision. He is famous for paintings that reflect this change from reality to his personal view--especially those made in watercolor or with oil glazes adding color or dropping them into shadows. Al Serino's favorite technique is using colored pencils- which lets him work fast as an impressionist painter might!

In his work, artist Al Serino is able to communicate a multitude of emotions. His bold palette knife work and use of intense colors allow him to convey opposing themes such as serenity and exaltation. He likes using pure pigments for catching light because they are warm and useful for retaining it in his paintings. Al Serino always says "experiments lead to insights." So he tries new things often, whether it be from painting subjects or trying different tools like brushes offering unique textures or outcomes along with palettes knives - everything leads him into painting more freely!

Al Serino uses a variety of different tools to create his images. These include oil on canvas, acrylic paint using a brush, varnish based on glycerophtalic resins and the effect of dripping, and watercolor drawing with felt pen or ink. In addition to these techniques, Al Serino also engages in aerosol painting, stamping, monotypes, and collages made of pieces from newspapers and letters.

When it comes to the painter, Al Serino is often inspired by the evident reality of things that surround him. The work that he does looks at different levels like childhood, travel, and passing time with games and women's mystery in a dreamy fashion. For quite some time now his focus has been on our collective unconscious - using words as images to create meaning for us all to see.

Al Serino enjoys working with acrylics because he can play with them as he likes. His only rule is that the paintings should be pleasing to the eye, they're not messy and dry fast, so it's easy to see your finished work in minutes. In the long run, Al won't favor one color over the other as long as the color is rich and bold. There is a wide collection of his work in America as well as in many other countries. In his works, Isaac captures the vibrant, riotous energy of life in a raw and vibrant way. As far as he is concerned, spontaneous creativity is the antithesis of despair. He uses acrylic paint on canvas to create abstract expressionist works. A great deal of this painter's work features non-figurative motifs, various floating forms that fluctuate rapidly and unstoppably, emitting a considerable energy charge within each painting's isolated universe. Occasionally, Al Serino deviates from abstraction to realize very figurative cycles that are composed of the same palette as his abstract work. He is also known for continuous painting based on a passionate exploration of color, especially the question of dominant colors, while in the world of motifs, he centers on form metamorphosis.

The layering, colors, and transparency of acrylic appeal to Al's sense of spontaneity. He creates vibrant, bright, and rich paintings with wonderful depth and tonal ranges. The vibrant colors and beauty of his art have found a home in many public and private collections. Al Serino does not settle for one style, but wants to evolve continuously. In order to enrich his creativity and artistic vision, he continues to experiment. His creations are intended to bring you joy and a greater understanding of the medium and the subjects of his paintings as much as they do for him. In addition to his artwork being displayed in museums and galleries throughout the world, Al Serino has been featured in newspaper and magazine articles across the country.

Usually, his process begins with sketches taken from life or from memory, progressing to a moment of expression. Based on the feeling or emotion that Al wishes to convey in the work, the process can lead to using oils, acrylics, watercolour, pastels, or mixed media. For him, it's the outcome that is so important, the process and the medium are simply his most treasured and dynamic travelling companions, accompanying him to his final destination.

Al Serino is a Member of the New York Artistic Society and an Associate of the American Watercolor Society
