Alpha Kabinet Keita is a medical doctor and microbiologist, researcher at the University of Montpellier, assigned to the TransVIHMI unit of the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and Inserm.

Dr. Keita is a researcher at CAMES (African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education) and Deputy Director of the Research and Training Center in Infectiology of Guinea (CERFIG) where he works on reservoirs of viruses responsible for zoonoses (Ebola, Marburg, Lassa, Crimea Congo, Yellow Fever, Dengue, Chickungunya and Coronaviruses).

He is the head of the molecular biology unit at the National Institute of Public Health of Guinea and research coordinator at the African Centre of Excellence for the Management of Communicable Diseases (CEA-PCMT).

Dr. Keita is the recipient of several awards and fellowships, including the Bronze Medal of the Infectiopôle Sud Foundation in 2012 in Marseille, France, and the Science and Technology Ambassador of the Next Einstein Forum from 2017 to 2019, where he was honoured as one of the top 25 African researchers under 42 in June 2019.
