Dr Angeliki Triantafyllaki is Assistant Professor of Music Education at the Department of Music Studies, University of Athens. She completed her doctoral study at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the professional identity and knowledge of instrumental music teachers. She studied music and solo piano at the National Conservatory of Athens. She completed her undergraduate degree in Education Studies at the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She has extensive research experience obtained while working on numerous international and national research projects (European Commission FP7-ICT, HEA, Thalis) and secured funding for individual postdoctoral research (British Academy, Greek State Scholarship Foundation). She teaches modules in Music Pedagogy, Music Psychology, Instrumental Teaching and Learning and Research Methodology in Music Education, in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Greece and Cyprus.
