I am a contract researcher at the Department of Psychology at the University of Graz with a dual role: on the one hand I work in the central administration of the Institute, on the other hand I am involved in scientific research and software development at the research group on Cognitive Psychology & NeuroScience.
Within knowledge space theory, my focus is on the adaptive assessment of knowledge. Already during the assessment, previously received answers (and their correctness) are used to infer whether or not other questions can be answered by the individual. Thus, the number of questions to be asked during the assessment can be reduced significantly.
The respective procedures are computationally quite expensive. Therefore, I am investigating more parsimonious alternatives.
Besides that, I am maintaining a comprehensive bibliography on knowledge space theory as well as several software packages on KST (R packages kst, kstMatrix, kstIO, and CDSS, and a Python package kstpy).
