Dimitrios C. Zografopoulos

Dimitrios C. Zografopoulos received his Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2003 and 2009, respectively.

In 2010 he was a postdoctoral Fellow of the AUTH Research Committee and in 2011 he was a post-doctoral Research Fellow with the Greek States Scholarship Foundation and a Visiting Professor with the Department of Electronics Technology, Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain.

He subsequently moved under a two-year Intra-European Marie-Curie Fellowship to the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems, Italian National Research Council of Italy, Rome, where he was appointed Researcher and Senior Researcher in 2011 and 2023, respectively.

He has authored or coauthored over 100 scientific papers in international journals and three book chapters. He is an Associate Editor for Nature Scientific Reports and MDPI Applied Sciences.

His current research interests include the investigation of strongly resonant and tunable metasurfaces, components for terahertz wave manipulation, photonic/plasmonic waveguides, and the interaction between electromagnetic waves and liquid crystals.
