<summary type='html'>In Slovenia karst water sources contribute up to 50 % of the total drinking water supply. In dry period of the year this amount reaches about 2/3 of the total consumption. The quality of karst water is still relatively high, but some signs of contamination have already been recorded in some of the springs.
