Abstract: Theoretical calculations demonstrate a strong influence of acoustic modes on dsDNA conductance. The experimentally observed temperature independence of the conductivity at and above room temperature is the result of a high overall population of such modes above the Debye temperature, in accordance with the theoretical estimations.
