Exovent is a multidisciplinary charitable initiative bringing together anaesthetists, intensivists, paediatricians, surgeons, critical care nurses, engineers, and industry professionals. Founded in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the group focuses on advancing respiratory support through Continuous Negative Extrathoracic Pressure (CNEP) and Negative Pressure Ventilation (NPV), which are considered physiologically relevant approaches for both acute pneumonia, including COVID-19, and a wide range of chronic pulmonary diseases.
In addition to developing innovative, lightweight, and cost-effective negative pressure ventilatory support devices, members of the Exovent collaboration have contributed extensively to the scientific field through clinical, experimental (animal), and theoretical research. The present publication list brings together these contributions, reflecting the group’s shared commitment to improving the understanding and application of negative pressure ventilation.
