Haroon Rashid is an engineer, lecturer and researcher from Pakistan. Currently, he is attached with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as Research Assistant since 2012. He completed his postgraduate studies with PhD in Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering, M.Sc. in Microelectronics Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National University of Malaysia) and his undergraduate at the University of Sunderland with a B.Eng. in Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
He has strong background in the principles and practices of materials science & engineering, 2D-TMDC materials, thin films fabrication & characterization, renewable energy, electrical generation, engineering design & construction and has excellent lecturing & supervisory experience including setting up goals & objectives and monitoring. He has worked with various highly reputed organizations and institutions of higher learning.
Dr. Rashid is member of various local and international associations. His research interests are in the areas of TMDC materials, thin film photovoltaic solar cells fabrication, nanotechnology, renewable energy applications, VLSI, IC fabrication, semiconductor devices and IRIS Recognition System.
