Jean Claude Kabongo was born and lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has a deep passion for art from an early age, drawing and painting with extraordinary aptitudes. He holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from The University of Arts.

Jean Claude Kabongo is known as “the painter of light”. The spectacular effects that this master printed on his canvases have not yet been matched by any other artist. The search for life through the bright and brilliant colors of light is a constant in his work, often infused with American beaches and landscapes. However, Kabongo's paintings are not limited to marinas or beaches; he also paints portraits beautifully and captures traditional scenes splendidly well.

Jean Claude Kabongo's work includes more than 500 paintings, as well as over 1,000 drawings and sketches. He adopted one of the slogans of impressionism- capture ephemeral moments and exteriors - which makes his art impressive. Jean Claude Kabongo is able to remember the light or movement in a scene from just one instant; then he can capture it on canvas later in his studio. Due to their high quality, Jean Claude Kabongo’s works are now placed with pride among collections at museums around the world.
