My research work highlights the biological treatment of cement kiln dust (a cement industry waste) by use of alkalitolerant bacteria isolated from soil for reducing the toxicity (alkalinity, hardness, chloride, heavy metals), its utilization in cement-concrete system and study of metal leachate behavior in concrete.
Research interests:
Microbial Diversity Studies, Plant-microbe interactions, Role of mesophiles/ extremophiles in Bio-remediation, Microbial interactions with Industrial wastes and Concrete composites.
