Lawrie Conole is an ecologist with 30 years of diverse experience in zoological and ecological survey, research and management; with work in mariculture and fisheries, field and laboratory archaeology, museum collection management and research, academic ecological research, natural history bookselling, and ecological consulting. He has academic qualifications in ornithology, and is currently undertaking a part-time research Masters (soon to be PhD) in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Tasmania, modelling the relationship between bird macroecology and environmental changes associated with urbanisation. He has authored or co-authored over 240 documents (journal articles, conference papers, consultant reports).
