BACKGROUND:
Dr Md Sohel Rana received the BSc degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2008. He received his PhD degree in electrical engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia in 2014. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, RUET. He worked as a Research Associate at the UNSW. He also served as a Lecturer in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, the University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh. His research interests include control theory and applications, nanopositioning control, mechatronics, smart structures, and MEMS/NEMS. Dr Rana received the Award for Excellence in High Impact Journal Publications-2014, from UNSW, Australia and the Best Paper award at the 5th Australian Control Conference (AUCC), 2015.
