Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Stem Cell Biology & Molecular Medicine at the Amity University Haryana, Manesar (Haryana). I did my postdoctoral fellowship from the Moores Cancer Center of the University of California, San Diego (Jan 2012 to Jan 2017). I completed my PhD under the mentorship of Prof. Akhilesh Pandey (Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore-Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore). During the stay at Hopkins, I learned cutting edge technology e.g. microarray, mass spectrometry and cancer signaling and also worked on a collaborative project on lung cancer signaling with Dr(s). Harold E. Varmus/ Udayan Guha (NCI). During PhD work, I studied the molecular mechanism of tumorigenesis in esophageal cancers using DNA microarrays and quantitative proteomics using mass spectrometry. Currently, I am involved in finding the molecular mechanism of spliceosome machinery using splicing modulators in gastroesophageal cancers through genomics/proteomics approaches. Additionally, I am involved in targeting the chemokine receptor-ligand nexus in relation to ESCC/EAD, its targeting using anti-chemokine receptor antibodies / small molecules.
