Ömer Civalek is a Professor of Civil Engineering/ Mechanical division at Akdeniz University (Turkey). He graduated from Fırat University in civil engineering in 1996 and was awarded a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. degree from the same university in 1998 and 2004, respectively. He also was awarded a second Ph.D. degree from Dokuz Eylül University in 2003.
• M.Sc. thesis title: Nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of plates and shells by using Neuro-Fuzzy technique.
• Ph.D. thesis title:Nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of plates and shells on elastic foundations by the method of polynomial differential quadrature.
•Second Ph.D. thesis title: Linear and non-linear dynamic analysis of multi-degree-of-freedom systems by harmonic differential quadrature method.
Professor Civalek is currently a Professor of civil engineering at Akdeniz University (Antalya/TURKEY).
