Peter Czermak

Peter Czermak studied chemical engineering and did his PhD in bioprocess engineering. He was the managing director of the Institute of Bioprocess Engineering and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen, Giessen, Germany, and Full Professor in Bioprocess Engineering for more than 30 years until July 2022. From 2004 until 2019 he was Professor in Chemical Engineering (adjunct) at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering, Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, USA. In addition he is Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry at the Justus-Liebig University, Giessen, Germany. He has more than 35 years of experience in bioprocess engineering and bioseparations in research and industry. Since more than 25 years he worked on bioprocesses with animal cells also.
