Dr Panorea Gaitanou holds a PhD in Archives, Library Science, and Museology from the Ionian University of Greece, along with an MSc in Information Science (2006) and a Degree in Librarianship from the Technological Institute of Athens (2001). She has served in prominent roles including Archivist at the General State Archives of Greece (Sept.2024 till present), Head Librarian at the Hellenic National Defense College (2020–2024), and Librarian at the Benaki Museum Library (2002–2015). Her career also includes contributions to the Hellenic Ministry of Justice (2015–2020), focusing on legal documentation and information services. Dr. Gaitanou is a prolific researcher with approximately 70 publications in conferences, workshops, and journals, highlighting her expertise in library and archival science. She has been actively involved in leadership roles, such as Programme Co-Chair of the 9th MTSR Conference, and is a member of the Database and Information Systems Research Group at the Ionian University.
