Paul Thomas Croft is a Chicago-based entrepreneur and strategic advisor known for building durable businesses rooted in trust, resilience, and long-term value creation. His career reflects a rare blend of disciplined execution, adaptability in times of crisis, and an unwavering commitment to serving clients first.

Paul’s entrepreneurial journey accelerated early. Setting a personal goal to reach seven figures by age 40, he surpassed it by 37—driven not by short-term wins, but by consistently helping individuals and businesses navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. That philosophy became the foundation of Croft Enterprises, LLC, which he founded at age 27 during the 2008 financial crisis. What began as a small tax practice grew into a multi-city professional services firm offering tax strategy and resolution, business planning, real estate guidance, insurance solutions, and marketing support. Within five years, the firm expanded from 37 to over 2,000 clients.

Beyond traditional financial services, Paul has demonstrated foresight in emerging and impact-driven sectors. Through Rhino Onward International (ROI), he supports businesses transitioning into renewable energy solutions, including solar and hydrogen technologies—positioning sustainability as both a financial and ethical imperative. He also founded Emerald Life, Inc., where his work in life insurance and financial planning has contributed to more than $2 billion in coverage placements over the course of his career.

Paul’s entrepreneurial interests extend into hospitality and lifestyle ventures, including partnerships in Komo Chicago and Esco Bar, where culinary innovation meets experiential nightlife. These ventures highlight his ability to recognize cultural trends and translate them into commercially successful concepts.

Originally from Two Harbors, Minnesota, Paul’s leadership style was shaped early by overcoming a serious back injury as a teenager—an experience that instilled resilience and discipline. He studied Industrial Engineering and Business at the University of Minnesota Duluth and later pursued Accounting and Business studies at the University of North Dakota. Early professional recognition included being named a top intern at Northwestern Mutual and a feature in USA Today for exceptional performance in financial services.

At the core of Paul’s life is family. A devoted father, he prioritizes presence and connection with his young son despite a demanding professional schedule. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, boating, music, and automotive collecting. Guided by his Christian faith, Paul approaches leadership with integrity, stewardship, and a long-term vision—building not just businesses, but a lasting legacy.
