Stefan (Steve) Klose is an Australian-German Ecologist currently advising the German Government in a senior public servant role on Forests, Wilderness and Restoration of Nature. Prior to this appointment, he was Migratory Shorebird Program Manager with BirdLife Australia, Consular Advisor the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) and served as Head of Office to a Parliamentary State Secretary with the German Federal Minister for the Environment. Other work experiences include the German Science Foundation (DFG) and BASF SE. Stefan is an Expert Member of the World Conservation Union's (IUCN) Commissions on Protected Areas (WCPA) & Ecosystem Management (CEM) and twice received Australian Government Endeavour Fellowships for excellence research at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, his alma mater.
