TIZIANA POLI.
Born in Milan on 6 May 1968
MSc Arch., PhD in Building Engineering, Assistant Professor.
Since 2001 she has been part of the BE Group (Building Envelope Engineering Group) research unit of the BEST (Building & Environment Science & Technology) Department, Politecnico di Milano
Since December 2002 researcher in Architecture and Building Technology at the Building & Environment Science & Technology – BEST Department at the Politecnico di Milano, Building Engineering Faculty.
Since 2002 head of the METEOLAB project. Measuring station of photometric and radiometric data of the Building & Environment Science & Technology BEST Department, set up and managed in collaboration with OMD – Weather Observatory Milan Duomo [agreement OMD Weather Observatory - Politecnico di Milano].
Since 2003 member of the technical and scientific committee of the Built Environment Science and Technology Instrumental Laboratory at the Politecnico di Milano [LSB – Instrumental Laboratory of the BEST Department] with competences focused on the optical and energy characterization of building components and systems and the assessment of indoor and outdoor comfort.
Since 2005 Member of the PhD Committee of the programme Building Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.
Research and educational activities are developed around the following themes:
- building envelope Design, Performances Modeling and Technology [climate sensitive building, low energy building, low CO2 impact building];
- radiative characterization of building skins;
- innovative potential of products, components and systems for building envelopes;
- climate changes and built environment (UHI mitigation).
