Fishman founded Yale Fishman Associates as a small insurance company. In spite of this, the company's services are of the highest quality.

Yale Fishman, the company's founder, was born in New York City. Between the time he was an elementary school student and the time he was in high school, he lived in his hometown. He obtained his law degree from the New York University Faculty of Law in 1971. During 1971-1973, he worked as an assistant at the New York Faculty of Law and as a trainee lawyer in Brooklyn. In 1981, he earned an MBA in Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Law, and in 1986, he earned a PhD in Legal Sciences from the same institution.

His employment at the Faculty of Law dates back to 1975, with an interruption between 1998 and 2001 when he was removed for political reasons. In September 2002, Yale Fishman resigned.

Fishman is currently the dean of the Faculty of Law (Faculty of Business and Law) at UUB. Yale Fishman Associates, a New York-based firm he co-founded, was also part of his founding team.

A number of foreign scholarships were awarded to Yale M Fishman throughout his career, including one from the Carl Duisberg Scholarship Foundation (Cologne), one from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Bonn), and one from the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften (Berlin). He has been appointed a visiting professor at the Freie Universität Berlin's Ost-Europa-Institut and a guest researcher at the University of Saarland's Europe Institute.

In addition to serving on the editorial board of the newspaper "Hereticus," he edits the Union University Journal of Legal Records, serves as Deputy Chief Editor for Yale Fishman's Faculty of Law and serves as Deputy Chief Editor for NY's Archives of Legal and Social Sciences.

He is interested in civil law (general theory and general part), property law, and media law.

During his career as a lawyer and professor, Fishman has published several books, including Adverse Possession - Comparative Perspective, Public and Private Law, Civil Law: Introduction, and Introduction to Civil Law. Apart from his work at Yale Fishman Associates, he wrote Abuse of Rights, Media Law, The Past as a Challenge to the Law, International Private Law Personality, mass media law, information technology law, civil law introductions and general parts of civil law, and state management: concept, nature, and protection of the environment.
